As the manager of Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering for the firm, Tajuana is a full member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS).Tajuana proactively provides advice regarding TCI law and regulation in these areas to ensure all clients and stakeholders properly comply with the law. In addition to this role, Tajuana also practices in Corporate and Commercial Law and Real Estate Law.Tajuana is a member of the Turks and Caicos Islands Bar Association, a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, a member of the Turks and Caicos Association of Office Professionals and shortly is to become a member of the Compliance Association in Turks and Caicos (CATC).  She is also a volunteer in the Young Enterprise Association.  Tajuana is also actively pursuing additional qualifications in Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering specializations.In August 2013, Tajuana completed a Compliance Awareness course accredited by the International Compliance Association. The course has given Tajuana training and knowledge of how best to manage and mitigate compliance risk at the firm. She will be utilizing these skills and the information gained to provide the firm with effective training and education in respect of minimizing risk and adhering to best compliance practice, policies and procedures. Tajuana’s expertise in this area is welcomed and will allow the firm to consistently improve its risk assessment mechanisms and awareness of surrounding issues which are important to the firm.
EDUCATION / PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Tajuana Rasheida Ewing is an upper division LLB honours graduate of The University of Buckingham and a holder of a Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Legal Skills from City University, London 2006. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Inner Temple, London in 2006, and subsequently to the Turks and Caicos Islands Bar in 2007. She has also completed a Business Studies course at the University of The West Indies School of Continuing Studies.
