What can I do for you?

I am an associate at Misick & Stanbrook. I practice across a variety of areas with an emphasis on employment law, commercial litigation, civil litigation, and administrative and public law litigation. I possess experience in representing clients at all levels of the Turks and Caicos Islands court structure and my assistance is commonly sought in matters concerning contract disputes, medical negligence, personal injury and employment law.

I have also assisted large-scale hotel clients in developing policies and writing manuals related to the management of employees, including work place safety guidelines and disciplinary procedures.

Supporting my clients’ objectives

The Turks and Caicos Islands are a rapidly growing jurisdiction both in population and economy. Whilst this growth may bring about changes to local laws, customs and practices, the one thing which never changes is the clients’ need to be heard, understood, thoroughly advised, and represented accordingly. My clients receive the benefit of having an attorney who not only listens attentively but gives due consideration to their needs before advising any course of action to be taken.

I have developed good relations with key governmental departments within the Turks and Caicos Islands and I am lucky to count many local entities and individuals amongst my clients as well as corporate entities with a global and regional footprint.

Qualifications

I acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Savannah State University before graduating with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) degree from the University of Buckingham where I also served as President of the Law Society. I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Bar Professional Training (BPTC) from the City Law School and subsequently earned a Master in International Law degree from the University of Sydney and a Master of Arts degree from Alphacrucis College.

I am a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple and was admitted to the Bar of England & Wales and the Turks & Caicos Islands in 2014.

What else should you know?

I have given seminars to corporate entities, particularly human resources managers, on matters relating to employment law and practice in the Turks and Caicos Islands. I believe that such meaningful engagement with the business community assists the client relationship and enhances the product on offer at Misick & Stanbrook.
