What can I do for you?
I am a partner specializing in real estate in Misick & Stanbrook’s real estate department. I have years of experience working with clients on commercial developments and residential property transactions of a diverse nature. My work typically involves the preparation of legal documentation for the purchase or sale of homes, condominiums, land or commercial spaces; negotiating and advising on all aspects of the transaction and providing legal counsel for clients to include advising on Turks and Caicos Islands residency. I also have expertise in financing and security arrangements and preparing documentation for lenders and borrowers. Probate and estate administration are also a part of my practice, particularly in the area of compliance with local regulatory requirements and estate asset distribution.
Supporting my clients’ objectives
A great number of my clients are ones that I have had the pleasure to repeatedly do business with. I ensure a realistic and clear strategy towards my client’s goals. There is nothing that satisfies me more than concluding a transaction with happy, satisfied clients.
Qualifications
I am a graduate of Nene College, University of Leicester and completed the Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of Law in the UK and I am a member of the Honourable Society’s of Lincoln’s Inn.
I hold 20 years’ experience in practice, and I have been exposed to a large array of transactions and clients during that time.
What else should you know?
I am the current Vice President of the Turks and Caicos Islands Bar Council and have sat on the Bar Council in differing capacities for many of my years in practice. I also sit on The Bar Council’s Legislation Committee which reviews new and existing legislation from the Bar’s perspective to recommend changes needed.
In the past, I have sat on several government boards in the Turks and Caicos Islands, including the TCI Broadcasting Commission and (for 6 years) on The Board of Governors of the TCI Community College.
